Madonna clarifies: 'I am not currently sick, had the virus 7 weeks ago'

After announcing that she has coronavirus antibodies, Madonna clarified that she is no longer "currently sick."

In an Instagram post, the iconic pop star shared that she must have caught the virus over seven weeks ago during a tour.

"When you test positive for anti-bodies it means you HAD the virus which I clearly did as I was sick at the end of my tour in Paris over 7 weeks ago along with many other artists in my show but at the time we all thought we had a very bad flu," she said.

Madonna had earlier revealed that she took a COVID-19 test, and after finding out she was positive, decided she was going to "go for a long drive in the car, I’m gonna roll down the window… and I’m going to breathe in the COVID-19 air."

In her latest post, she also shared that she is among those who raised more than $8 billion toward the development of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Madonna herself had pledged $1.1 million for the cause.
