SHINee’s Key posts video of late member Jonghyun on group’s 12th anniversary

Over two years have passed since SHINee's Jonghyun passed away, but the group's charismatic lead singer is far from forgotten.

The South Korean boy band celebrated its 12th anniversary this week and one of the members Key marked the occasion by posting an old video of his departed bandmate.

In the video, Jonghyun is seen having fun with the boys, playing a game of rock, paper, scissors with another member Minho.

"A dozen years of SHINee. I know it means a lot to you and us,” Key wrote in the caption.

In the rest of Key’s caption that was written in Korean, the K-pop artist looked back on SHINee’s journey and thanked fans for all their love and support.

"I love you so much. Key,” he wrote at the end.

SHINee, composed of Onew, Minho, Jonghyun, Key and Taemin, made their debut with the single “Replay” on May 25, 2008.

Jonghyun was reported dead on December 18, 2017 after being found unconscious at a Seoul apartment. His death was reportedly linked to depression.

For their 12th anniversary, SHINee’s agency SM Entertainment compiled memorable scenes from their live concerts and made a touching tribute for their fans across the globe.
