Ryan Reynolds pitches in reward to help find Pinay's missing teddy bear

Actor Ryan Reynolds is offering a cash reward as part of efforts to find a bear owned by a Filipina whose mother died of complications from cancer last year.

In a post on his Twitter account, Reynolds offered "$5,000 to anyone who returns this bear to Mara. Zero questions asked. I think we all need this bear to come home."

With the tweet is a Canadian news report on the missing bear.

The teddy bear, owned by Mara Soriano, who has been searching for it since it was stolen on July 26 in Vancouver, has a recording of her mother's voice.

In one of the tweets of a Canadian journalist, the recording can be heard in Filipino saying, "Hi Ate Mara, mahal na mahal kita okay. Remember that. You made Mommy so proud. No matter where you are, a part of you will always be with me forever. I love you to infinity and beyond."

In a story posted on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation website, Soriano was born in the Philippines, moved to Toronto when she was nine and Vancouver five years ago. -- BAP, GMA News
