Twice member Sana tests positive for COVID-19

Sana of K-Pop girl group Twice has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to an announcement by JYP Entertainment, Sana was diagnosed today after testing positive on her PCR test for departure.

The agency said she arrived in Japan on April 16 and was released from quarantine four days later after two negative PCR tests.

It said all nine members took negative antigen tests daily during their concerts, which were held April 23-25 at Tokyo Dome.

“Sana has received her third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and is currently quarantined and recuperating, following the disease control guidelines,” said the statement.

JYP also said the eight other members had tested negative and since departed Japan.

“We sincerely apologize for causing concern to our fans and related people,” it said.

“JYP Entertainment will position the artist’s health as the utmost priority and provide everything possible to support the artist’s swift recovery.” – RC, GMA News
