Kai Sotto spends time with Filipino community in Australia ahead of NBL stint

Filipino hoops sensation Kai Sotto over the weekend met some of the Filipinos in Australia ahead of his upcoming stint in the National Basketball League (NBL).

According to a post by the Adelaide 36ers, Sotto’s NBL team, the 19-year old big man met with members of the Filipino Communities Council of Australia.

“Kai enjoyed meeting and spending time with the community & we can't wait to see everyone again as we get closer to #NBL22,” the Sixers said in their post.

Sotto signed with the 36ers last April under the NBL’s special restricted player rule which allows clubs to get players within the FIBA region.

The upcoming NBL season is expected to start later this year.
