Dwight Ramos scores 12, but winless Toyama falls to Ryukyu; No B.League action for Aquino, Juan GDL, Cariño

Dwight Ramos registered 12 points and six rebounds for the Toyama Grouses but they could not arrest their slump as they fell short against the Ryukyu Golden Kings, 83-80, on Sunday in the Japan Professional Basketball League (B.League).

The Grouses are still winless in eight matches, with Ramos only playing in four of the said games.

Toyama will see action on Wednesday against Osaka Evessa.

Meanwhile, Matthew Aquino, and Division 2 players Juan Gomez de Liaño and Kemark Cariño did not see action in Sunday's games.

Aquino's Shinshu Brave Warriors won against Osaka Evessa, 95-79, to get a 4-4 card. They will play Levanga Hokkaido on Wednesday.

In Division 2, Gomez de Liaño's Earthfriends Tokyo Z still remain winless after a 79-52 loss to Fighting Eagles Nagoya, while Cariño's Aomori Wat's fell short against Kagawa Five Arrows, 81-78.

According to reports, De Liaño sat out after his quad injury was aggravated.

The Earthfriends will play the Fukushima Firebonds on Sunday next weekend, while Aomori will go against the Koshigaya Alphas on Saturday.

Earlier, Thirdy Ravena and the San-En Neophoenix defeated Javi Gomez de Liaño's Ibaraki Robots, 88-63. Kiefer Ravena and the Shiga Lakestars, meanwhile, demolished Ray Parks' Nagoya Dolphins, 110-79.
