Kiefer Ravena scores 14, but Shiga falls to defending champion Chiba Jets

Kiefer Ravena was once again in his usual form but his efforts went down the drain as the Shiga Lakestars bowed to reigning B1 champion Chiba Jets, 99-88, in the 2021 Japan B. League on Saturday.

The Filipino reinforcement carved out 14 points off the bench to go along with game-highs of eight assists and two steals in almost 27 minutes on the court while his teammate Ovie Soko paced the team with 28 markers and eight boards.

Christopher Smith led Chiba with team-high 26 points, six rebounds, and three dimes while Gavin Edwards chipped in 14 markers and 10 rebounds.

The loss pushed Shiga to slide to 6-4 while the defending titleholder improved to 7-3.

The two teams will face off for a rematch on Sunday at 2:05 p.m.
