Mikey Williams is PBA Season 46 Rookie of the Year

TNT power rookie Mikey Williams was named as Rookie of the Year of the Philippine Basketball Association's 46th season.

The recognition was made official on Sunday at the league's Leo Awards at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Williams, who is also a nominee for the Most Valuable Player award, posted 34.26 statistical points on averages of 19.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

The TNT rookie was crucial in their Philippine Cup bid in the league's second bubble, where he was named as Finals MVP.

Williams defeated other nominees such as Jamie Malonzo of NorthPort, Rain or Shine's Leonard Santillan and Andrei Caracut, and Magnolia's Jerrick Ahanmisi.
