JVee Casio drops 22 as Blackwater stuns TNT

Blackwater Bossing opened its PBA Philippine Cup season with a win after beating TNT Tropang Giga, 85-78, on Thursday at Ynares Center Antipolo.

JVee Casio led the Bossing with 22 points while sinking five three-pointers and dishing five assists, while Baser Amer finished with 11 points and four dimes. James Sena, Renato Ular, and Yousef Taha scored 10 points each.

Roger Pogoy exploded for 32 points in the losing effort for Tropang Giga, while Jayson Castro and Troy Rosario combined for 19 points. Poy Erram had a double double performance of 10 markers and 10 boards.

Blackwater had a slim 39-37 lead at half time, but a strong third quarter saw them lead by as many as 13 points. They took a 64-53 cushion heading into the final frame, where Casio took over in the clutch and scored Bossing last 10 points to close out TNT.
