Trollano sinks game winner as NLEX takes down TNT in late rally

The NLEX Road Warriors took down the TNT Tropang Giga in a late rally, 90-89, on Thursday in the 2022 PBA Philippine Cup at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

Trailing at 78-66 early in the fourth period, the Road Warriors climbed their way and reclaimed the lead, 88-87, with 39 seconds left. With eight seconds left, Troy Rosario made a basket to give the lead back to TNT.

But Don Trollano pulled up for a jump shot with three seconds left, which eventually sealed the deal for NLEX after Jayson Castro's triple in the dying seconds of the game did not connect.

Calvin Oftana tallied 20 points while JR Quinahan added 18 points. Kevin Alas added 16 points in the NLEX win while Trollano listed 11 markers.

Pogoy's 28 points behind a hot shooting night went to naught, while Rosario, Poy Erram, and Kelly Williams added 11 points apiece.

TNT (2-2) will be back in action on Saturday when they play the Meralco Bolts, while NLEX (2-1) will go against Barangay Ginebra on Wednesday.
