Robert Bolick and Roi Sumang connived down the stretch to lead NorthPort to a pulsating 92-89 victory over Phoenix Super LPG in the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup on Wednesday.

Sumang knocked down five straight points to give the Batang Pier a slim 89-87 lead with 40 seconds left in the game before he fouled Tyler Tio, who sank both his free throws to tie the match.

But Bolick nailed the game-winning triple off an assist from Sumang for a 92-89 cushion for NorthPort.

The Fuel Masters had the chance to tie the game again but Tio missed out on his three-point attempt before Jansen Rios turned the ball over as NorthPort completed the comeback win.

Bolick finished with 21 points and six assists while import Prince Ibeh poured in a double-double effort of 19 markers, 15 rebounds, two dimes, and four steals as NorthPort went 1-0 early in the import-laden tournament.

NorthPort trailed by as many as 19 points, 26-7, late in the opening frame but they outscored Phoenix in the second canto, 25 to 9.
