Kevin Quiambao says he will return to La Salle; Jerom Lastimosa to make announcement on future plans soon

UAAP Season 85 Rookie of the Year Kevin Quiambao said that he will return for another season to De La Salle University.

In a press conference after the individual awardees were recognized on Wednesday, Quiambao said he wants to return to give the Taft-based squad a championship.

"Babalik ako for Season 86. Nakausap ko na naman lahat sa La Salle. Ang goal namin mag-champion next season. Kailangan ko ibalik 'yung crown sa Taft," Quiambao said.

"Sobrang daming injuries, lahat ng challenges hinarap namin. 'Yun lang talaga hindi namin naabot goal namin. 'Yun lang talaga, try namin maging healthy."

Jerom Lastimosa, who won a special award, said that he will announce his decision next week.

"For now, wala pa talaga but siguro, next week na ako maglalabas ng decision kung aalis na ba talaga ako sa UAAP," Lastimosa said, confirming as well that he has received some offers to play in Korea and Japan.

 

 

 

 

Season 85 individual awardees include MVP Malick Diouf of UP, along with teammate Carl Tamayo, Ateneo de Manila's Dave Ildefonso and Forthsky Padrigao, and University of the East's Luis Villegas.
