Clark, Perez star as San Miguel goes 3-0 with rout of Terrafirma

Import Cameron Clark and CJ Perez were too much to handle for Terrafirma as San Miguel cruised to a 122-102 victory to remain immaculate in the 2023 PBA Governors' Cup on Friday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo City.

Clark dropped another double-double outing of 31 points and 14 rebounds to go along with four assists, three blocks, and one steal while Perez led the locals after registering 20 markers, 11 boards, six dimes, and one block.

With the two leading the Beermen, San Miguel improved to 3-0 to join NLEX at the second spot while Terrafirma, who was coming off a big win over Meralco last Saturday, dropped to 1-2.

Clark and Allyn Bulanadi started getting their offense going  in the second period, which saw San Miguel outscore Terrafirma, 38 to 23, as the two each dropped eight points in that juncture to cap off the half leading by 13, 57-44.

Dyip import Jordan Williams gave Terrafirma some signs of life in the third where he scored 13 of his overall output as they trimmed their deficit to just 10 at the end of the frame, 88-78. But Perez and Mo Tautuaa put the finishing touches as San Miguel kept its unscathed record alive.

Tautuaa churned out 17 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks off the bench as primary big man June Mar Fajardo was limited to just six points, nine rebounds, and six assists.
