Pacquiao's jab and overhand will dictate Spence fight, Ancajas says

By JM SIASAT

Reigning IBF world super flyweight world champion Jerwin Ancajas believes that the jab and overhand punch would dictate how Manny Pacquiao versus Errol Spence Jr. is going to unfold.

The eight-division champion from the Philippines is tasked to battle the WBC and IBF world welterweight champion Spence on August 21 in Las Vegas, USA.

"They say Sir Manny [will lose] to Spence... no. Spence is a southpaw and for what I know he likes [fighting] southpaws," Ancajas told GMA News Online in Filipino.

"His jab and overhand will dictate the fight because those punches would always hit a southpaw," he added.

Pacquiao, 42, last fought in July 2019 when he defeated Keith Thurman via split decision and is viewed as the underdog against Spence.

Despite Pacquiao's time off the ring, Ancajas is still picking his countryman to win.

"I still favor Sir Manny [to win] given his power and dedication to training," he said.
