Casimero vs. Rigondeaux back in play on August 14

By JM SIASAT

PBC has scheduled a fight between WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero and former super bantamweight champion Guillermo Rigondeaux on August 14 after WBC world bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire withdrew from fighting his fellow Filipino.

Casimero was originally scheduled to defend his world title against the Cuban Olympic gold medalist on August 14 until Donaire came along and replaced Rigondeaux. Donaire however felt “disrespected” by Team Casimero’s shenanigans before the fight and opted to pull the plug
