WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero is now training under the supervision of Team Pacquiao’s Nonoy Neri at Wild Card Gym in preparation for his second title defense.

Casimero is set to face former super bantamweight world champion and two-time Olympic gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux on Aug. 14 at Dignity Health Sports Park in California, USA.

The Filipino three-division champion spent the first half of his US training camp in Las Vegas until he moved to Los Angeles this past weekend.

Holding a record of 30-4 with 21 knockouts, the 32-year-old from Ormoc City is coming off six wins via stoppage.

He is about to get inside the ring with the most decorated opponent he has ever fought in Rigondeaux (20-1, 13KOs), who is most remembered for beating Nonito Donaire Jr. in 2013. – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
