Carlo Paalam reacts to his Olympic quarterfinals win

Carlo Paalam secured a huge victory over a reigning Olympic and world champion in Shakhobidin Zoirov of Uzbekistan to enter the semifinal round of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics men's flyweight tournament.

The fight was stopped in the second round due to a clash of heads, and the Filipino boxer won on the scorecards, 4-0-1.

With the win, he also assured himself of at least a bronze medal, which would mark the first time a Philippine delegation has won more than three medals in a single edition of the Olympic Games.
