Conor McGregor, Saul Alvarez land on Forbes list of highest-paid celebrities of 2020

A total of five combat sports athletes have made it to the prestigious list of Forbes’ highest-paid celebrities of 2020.

Tyson Fury, Conor McGregor, Anthony Joshua, Deontay Wilder, and Saul “Canelo” Alvarez were among the 100 highest paid this year together with celebrities and musicians.

Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, who previously stood tall on the list, noticeably missed a spot in the top 100.

Listed at No. 34 is Tyson Fury who reeked in a staggering amount of $57 million. He last fought in February against Deontay Wilder where he won via seventh-round technical knockout to claim the WBC world heavyweight title.

Former UFC featherweight and lightweight world champion Conor McGregor came in at No. 53 with $48 million. He last fought at UFC 246 in January against Donald Cerrone where he needed just 40 seconds to win the fight via technical knockout.

Current WBA, IBF and WBO world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua entered the list at No. 57 with reported earnings of $47 million. He last fought in December against Andy Ruiz where he won by unanimous decision to avenge the lone loss of his career and reclaim his world titles.

Tyson Fury’s rival and former WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder also secured a spot at No. 59 with reported earnings of $46.5 million.

WBC and WBA world middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez is the last prizefighter on the list at No. 91 with $37 million. The Mexican superstar last saw action in November against Sergey Kovalev where he won via eleventh-round knockout. – JM Siasat/RC, GMA News
