Olympic-bound Hidilyn Diaz is now fully vaccinated against COVID-19

Hidilyn Diaz is looking all set for her fourth Olympic appearance late this month.

The Filipina weightlifting champion bared on a social media post Monday that she had just received her second dose of AstraZeneca vaccine against the COVID-19 ahead of the Tokyo Games.

She also narrated how she felt after being jabbed in Malaysia, where she is also conducting her Olympic buildup.

"Ano ang side effects? Pag-uwi galing KL (Kuala Lumpur) kumain at natulog agad. Antok masyado.

She also encouraged others to get their vaccine shots once they made available so as to prevent the spread of the virus.

Diaz is among the 19 Filipino athletes set to see action in the prestigious meet.

A silver medalist in the 2016 Rio Olympics, the 30-year-old lifter hopes to eclipse her previous performance and deliver the country's first-ever gold medal.
