Blacklist still undefeated after 9 games in MPL PH S8, sweeps TNC

By JOHN EDISON UBALDO

Blacklist International looked tentative early on before flexing their muscles to sweep TNC Pro Team, 2-0, in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 on Saturday.

It looked like Game 1 was TNC's for the taking after they scored a 6-1 kill lead by the 7th minute courtesy of Frediemar “3MarTzy” Serafico's (Thamuz) 2-1-1 KDA and Patrick “P-God” Grecia's (Lylia) 2-0-1 KDA. They even zoomed to a 5k gold lead by the 11th minute.

But after a miscalculated TNC aggression in the jungle area during the 13th minute which Blacklist capitalized to force a 2-0, the defending champs slowly chipped away the deficit and completed the turnaround with a 2-0 wipe in the 17th minute en route to a Game 1 win, 1-0.

The Tier One-backed squad finished the 20-minute match with a 9-6 kill lead, preventing TNC from scoring any kill after the 7th minute in a superb display of dominance.

With a similar draft for both teams in Game 2, Blacklist easily imposed their will on TNC as they easily established a 6k gold lead on a 5th minute 4-0 wipe. Danerie James “Wise.” Del Rosario (Yi Sun shin) was already on a 5-0-1 KDA tear at that point.

They extended the gold lead to 10k by the 8th minute on a 14-4 kill spread as Blacklist cruised to another sweep by the 11th minute.

Wise finished with a monster 7-0-5 KDA to help the defending champs score their 9th straight win this season.

Blacklist now has 23pts to firm their grip of the top spot while TNC is on the verge of early elimination after accumulating only 6pts going into the last three weeks of the regular season.
