RSG asserts mastery over Echo with another 3-game thriller in MPL PH S8

RSG Philippines completed a reverse sweep of Echo, 2-1, to remain in solo 3rd in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines Season 8 on Saturday.

RSG was the first to score the break point in Game 1 after a close early game with a 4-1 wipe in the 8th minute followed by a 3-0 takedown a minute later to take control of the match.

But Mark "Hadess" Lazaro (Baxia) flanked Christian “Iy4knu” Manaog (Natan) to put RSG in disarray in the lord fight as Echo turned the confusion into a 2-0 takedown plus the luminous lord to destroy the toplane inhibitor turret.

The two-time MPL champs then caught an out of position Iy4knu in the 20th minute to once again secure the luminous lord and finish off RSG, 1-0.

Both teams engaged in a nip-in-tuck affair in Game 2 until RSG finally pulled ahead in the 10th minute with a 3-1 exchange to take the lord.

They again scored another 3-0 takedown in the 21st minute to force the rubber match, 1-1.

The storyline was completely different in Game 3 as the MPL rookies were in control from start to finish and rode Iy4knu's (Bruno) gold lane brilliance en route to a one-sided conquest in 15mins..

He finished with an 11-1-3 to embody RSG's 19-6 kill domination in the decider.

RSG remained solo 3rd with 16 points to put some degree of separation against Echo, which now has 14 points.
