By BEA MICALLER,GMA News

Alex Eala is tipped to return to the court after taking a break since wrapping up her 2021 US Open campaign last September, where she bowed out of both the singles and doubles events.

Her father, Mike Eala, told GMA News Online that the teen tennis sensation will see action in two tournaments before the year ends.

The Rafael Nadal Academy scholar will compete in the W25 Milovice Indoor Open set to unfurl from November 22 to 28 in Czech Republic followed by the JA Plantation Orange Bowl in the United States from December 6 to 12.

The Czech event will be played on a hard court while the latter is on the clay court.

Eala will be pitted against familiar foes in the Orange Bowl with the likes of Victoria Jimenez Kasinteva of Andorra, Kristina Dmitruk of Belarus, Diana Shnaider of Russia, and Madison Sieg of USA all seeing action.

According to Eala's uncle and sports personality Noli Eala, the 16-year-old netter was sidelined due to injury which forced her to take a much-needed breather following non-stop competitions.
