'Champion-slayer' TNC adds Blacklist to list of MPL PH S9 victims

By JOHN EDISON UBALDO

A day after taking down Southeast Asian kings Omega Esports, TNC Pro Team slayed another champion in Blacklist International via a dominant 2-0 conquest in the Mobile Legends: Bang  Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines on Saturday.

The M3 World champion Blacklist, on the other hand, succumbed to their second loss in as many matches this season.

TNC leaned on the heroics of Daniel “SDzyz” Chu (Lancelot) in Game 1 as he snowballed early courtesy of a triple in the 4th minute to hike his KDA to 4-0-0.

Parading the unorthodox jungle emblem on the Lancelot, SDzyz continued with his fine display, helping TNC establish a 10k gold lead by the 14th minute.

The defending champions just couldn't find their groove as TNC took a dominant win curtailed by a 5-0 wipe out in the 15th minute and a 15-5 kill spread. SDzyz finished with a perfect 7-0-2 KDA.

Despite a close early to midgame, TNC got the better of the trades that they carried out to take outer turrets.

Better map control in the 12th minute led to a luminous lord take helping TNC take down all Blacklist inhibitor turrets.

TNC then scored timely pickoffs in the 18th minute to finish off the reigning world champions, 2-0.
