Chery Tiggo takes down Army for share of PVL lead

The Chery Tiggo Crossovers took down Army-Black Mamba, 25-21, 23-25, 25-16, 25-12, on Saturday to take a share of the lead in the 2023 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Philsports Arena.

Mylene Paat led the Crossovers with 26 points from 22 attacks and four blocks, while EJ Laure and Czarina Carandang added 12 apiece. Pauline Gaston made eight points in her Chery Tiggo debut.

Meanwhile, Honey Royse Tubino made 16 points, while Jeanette Villareal had 12 in the Army loss.

With the win, Chery Tiggo now has a 2-0 card, along with the Creamline Cool Smashers, while Army opened their season with a loss.

The Crossovers will go against F2 Logistics, while Army will try to bounce back against the PLDT High Speed Hitters on Thursday.
