Students doing Tiktok lose phones for school modules to rider thieves

Two students who were shooting Tiktok videos on a sidewalk in Caloocan City lost their mobile phones to motorcycle-riding thieves on Monday night.

According to Bam Alegre's report on "24 Oras", CCTV footage at Barangay 172 caught the incident.

“Natrauma po ako, hinawakan po ako dito tapos dahan dahan pong kinuha yung cellphone ko,” one of the victims said in Bam Alegre’s “24 Oras” report on Wednesday.

(I was traumatized. He held me and then slowly took my cellphone.)

“Hindi po ako nakagalaw, nandilim po yung paningin ko. Huwag daw po ako sisigaw babarilin daw po nila ako,” said the other.

(I couldn't move, my vision went dark. They told me not to shout or else they will shoot me.)

According to the victims, their mobile phones were used to answer modules for their online classes.

“Pagnakakita ng nakamotor parang medyo takot. Tapos ang iniiyakan niya yung mga answers niya sa modules nandoon hindi pa naforward sa teacher,” said Salome Juliales, grandmother of one of the victims.

(When she saw motorcycles she was frightened. She was also crying because her answers in the modules are there and have not been forwarded to the teacher.)

The victims already reported the incident to the barangay officials.

The barangay officials said there are now authorities patrolling in the area. -Richa Noriega/NB, GMA News
