Capitol Medical Center reaches full bed capacity for COVID-19 patients

Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City has reached full bed capacity for COVID-19 patients, according to Allan Gatus' report on Super Radyo dzBB on Tuesday.

The report said a tarpaulin announcing the full bed capacity has been placed in front of the hospital.

The Philippines, especially the National Capital Region, has been experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases over the past few days believed to be caused by the Omicron coronavirus variant.

ADAR pertains to the incidence showing the average number of new cases in a period per 100,000 people.

Health Secretary Francisco Duque III on Monday night said the Philippines has been classified as critical risk for COVID-19 amid the sudden spike of infections believed to be driven by the Omicron variant.
