Traffic build up in parts of NLEX, SLEX on Black Saturday afternoon

Light to heavy traffic was reported in several expressways due to motorists and travelers going into and out of Metro Manila on Black Saturday afternoon.

In tweets, the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Corporation reported heavy traffic in Meycauayan Southbound with approximately a one-kilometer build-up due to vehicular accidents as of 2:36 p.m.

The management said that a patrol team was on site.

 

Heavy traffic was also monitored at Greenfield Toll Plaza as of 2:17 p.m.

Meanwhile, Light traffic was recorded in Balintawak, Mindanao, Karuhatan, and Bocaue toll plazas.
 

"Light traffic in all other areas of NLEX-SCTEX including toll plazas and interchanges,” the NLEX Corporation said in a separate tweet.

The South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) also reported light traffic in Alabang Viaduct, Ayala, and Calamba as of 2:30 p.m.
