VP Robredo in quarantine after exposure to COVID-19 case

Vice President Leni Robredo on Sunday revealed she is under quarantine after being exposed to a COVID-19 case.

"Dapat sana itong darating na linggo, sa Lucena kami, Tuesday dapat sa Caloocan kami. Pero na-expose ako noong Miyerkoles, noong Huwebes. Na-expose ako sa isang nag-positive," Robredo said in her radio show.

With this, her activities have all been coverted online, she said.

"So sumunod kami sa protocols. Kinansel namin ang mga physical meets noong Friday atsaka Saturday. Lahat kinonvert namin online so hindi matutuloy 'yung Monday-Tuesday namin," the vice president said.

Robredo said she is hoping to undergo swab test with her staff soon.

"Hopefully ma-swab na kami. Kasi 'pag na-clear na kami, tuloy na ulit. Sana okay naman," she added.

Malacañang issued a short statement about the situation: “We wish her good health.”

Robredo said her chief of staff Undersecretary Philip "Boyet" Dy and some other staff who were with her during one of their activities were exposed as well to the COVID-19 case.

"Kami 'yung naka-quarantine," she said. —KG/BM, GMA News
