Yellow flowers fill Times Street corner as PNoy laid to rest

Yellow flowers filled the corner of West 4th and Times Street as former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III was laid to rest on Saturday.

In photos taken by GMA News' Ian Cruz, the flowers adorned the area in front of the barangay LED bulletin board near Aquino’s home that displayed the former President’s picture.

The flowers started pouring in on Thursday after news of Aquino’s death broke. The former President died at 61 due to renal disease

secondary to diabetes.

On Saturday afternoon, Aquino's urn was placed beside his parents at the Manila Memorial Park.

Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, his older sister, said he will forever be remembered as people are proud of him.  — DVM, GMA News
