PNP says it has no new COVID-19 cases

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Saturday said no new COVID-19 cases were reported among its personnel.

The total number of COVID-19 cases is 42,245 as of Saturday, data from the PNP Health Service showed.

Of this number, 28 are active cases.

A total of 42,092 cases recovered after one new recovery was recorded.

Meanwhile, the death toll remained at 125.

The Department of Health (DOH) on Friday recorded 582 new COVID-19 cases bringing the nationwide tally to 2,837,464. 

According to the DOH’s latest bulletin, active infections stood at 10,167.

The DOH said at least 494 patients defeated the viral illness, pushing the total recoveries to 2,776,727.

The Philippines’ COVID-19 death toll climbed to 50,570, with 74 new reported fatalities. —KG, GMA News
