Lacson says he’s fully recovered from COVID-19 but will finish quarantine until Jan. 14

Presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo Lacson on Wednesday said he has fully recovered from COVID-19 but he will still complete the mandatory 10-day quarantine.

“Ako as of Sunday, fully recovered na, wala ng symptoms, tinatapos ko lang yung aking quarantine,” he said in a radio interview.

“Ginawang 10 days [ang quarantine]. So nag-positive ako January 4, sa January 14 or Friday, tapos na yung aking quarantine” he added.

(As of Sunday, I am already fully recovered. I no longer exhibit symptoms. I am just finishing my quarantine. The quarantine period was 10 days. I tested positive for the virus on January 4. So my isolation would be complete on January 14 or Friday.)

Last week, Lacson announced that he has tested positive for COVID-19

Aside from Lacson, Senator Francis Pangilinan and Sherwin Gatchalian announced that they contracted the virus.

On Tuesday, Pangilinan said his latest RT-PCR test has yielded negative results.

On Wednesday, the Philippines registered 32,246 fresh COVID-19 infections, bringing the nationwide caseload to 3,058,634. — RSJ, GMA News
