SC issues TRO vs. Comelec over dismissal of vice-presidential aspirant

The Supreme Court has issued a temporary restraining order against the Commission of Elections (Comelec) over its declaration of a vice-presidential aspirant as a nuisance candidate.

In its TRO, the high court found the petition filed by Wilson Caritero Amad  sufficient in form and substance.

The SC required Comelec to comment on the petition within a non-extendible period of 10 days from notice.
