Atienza to Bongbong on debates: You don’t want public to ask you about your plans?

Vice presidential aspirant and Deputy Speaker Lito Atienza on Thursday slammed former senator Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on supposedly not wanting to join national debates for Eleksyon 2022.

According to Bernadette Reyes' report on "24 Oras," Atienza said debates allow the public to get to know a candidate more.

It is a chance for the public to see their integrity, platform and style of leadership, he added.

"'Yong sinasabi ni Bongbong na hindi raw siya dadalo kung magkakaroon ng debate eh bakit 'di ka dadalo? Ayaw mong matanong ka ng mga katunggali mo, ng mga kalaban mo? Ayaw mong matanong ka ng mga mamamayan sa mga nagawa mo na at mga plano mong gawin?" Atienza said.
