Why not Leni or Bongbong? Isko says both will be vindictive presidents

Presidential aspirant and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno believes both Vice President Leni Robredo and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will be vindictive presidents if they win in Eleksyon 2022.

For this, he said the Filipinos should not vote for them when asked on Thursday night interview with TV host Boy Abunda.

“Maghihiganti sa Marcos at Duterte,” Moreno said of Robredo.

“Maghihiganti sa dilawan at pinklawan,” he said of Marcos, referring to the supporters of Robredo.

Asked why the people should not vote for Senator Panfilo Lacson, he said, “Pwede naman iboto rin.”

On not voting for Senator Manny Pacquiao, Moreno replied, “Mabait naman, okay naman.”

Moreno said he deserves the Filipino vote because he will be a chief executive who will act fast and will not be vindictive.

“Hindi maghihiganti sa kanino man, sa bilis ng problem, kailangan ng tunay na solusyon at mabilis na aksyon,” he said.

GMA News Online sought the reaction of the camps of Robredo and Marcos, but has yet to receive a response as of posting time.

Qualifications

Moreno said he hopes voters would be more discerning in the upcoming elections in choosing candidates to install in positions.

“What we should be after is how to make the people more mature, in scrutinizing the candidates, how to make them more responsible in their choices,” he said.

The Manila mayor said qualifications should come with proof that the candidate was in the public’s midst in times of need.

“Where were you when we needed you most?  What have you done for your fellowmen for you to be voted as head of state?” he said

“You can dream and think of so many things, lip service, but kung wala kang karanasan, hindi mo nga alam kung paano ang kumakalam na sikmura  . . .” he added.—LDF, GMA News
