Davao Med School grad tops dentist licensure exam

A graduate of the Davao Medical School Foundation achieved the highest score in the January 2022 dentist licensure examination, according to the Professional Regulation Commission.

In a statement, the PRC said that the Board of Dentistry administered the examination in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Iloilo, with 731 of the 1,660 takers passing.

Bernardine Tay Tan of the Davao Medical School Foundation was the topnotcher with a score of 83.60%, followed by Maria Salvacion Riñopa Dacio of the University of Baguio with 83.03%.

Tied in third place are Harissa Kristina Reyes De Lara of University of the East-Manila, Ralph Ganzo of Southwestern University, and Yumi Dacoco Tokoyo of the University of the Philippines-Manila, all with a score of 82.87%.

The best-performing school was Cebu Doctors University, with 54 of its 62 takers passing the exam for a success rate of 87.10%.
