PPCRV receives 73.54% of election returns

The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) on Wednesday morning said it has received about 80,000 or 73.54% of the election returns for their parallel count on the May 9 polls.

As of 10:30 a.m., 79,266 out of the 107,785 election returns were received by the PPCRV at the PPCRV-KBP Command Center.

Of this number, the majority came from the North and South Luzon with 45,892 election returns, followed by the Visayas with 16,033, National Capital Region with 10,046, and Mindanao with 7,295.

As of posting, the church-backed election watchdog has not yet received any election returns from overseas voting.

The PPCRV earlier recorded a 1.61% mismatch in some 240 election returns and the transparency media server for the 2022 elections.

As of 2:47 p.m. on Friday, former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. was still leading the partial and unofficial count of votes with 31,104,175 votes.

Meanwhile, his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte has also maintained a huge lead among other vice presidential candidates with 31,561,948 votes as of the same period.

A total of 55,197,306 votes out of the 67,442,616 registered voters have already come in as of posting. A total of 98.35% of the election returns have been processed so far.

For senatoriables, the following are the 12 leading ones based on the National Board of Canvassers’ (NBOC) National Tally Sheet Report Number 7, dated May 17, 2022 at 1:59 p.m.:

Meanwhile, ACT-CIS and 1-Rider party-list groups were the leading party-lists in the race based on an earlier canvass report.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will proclaim all the twelve winning senators on Wednesday afternoon. 

Meanwhile, the poll body on Tuesday postponed the proclamation of the winning party-list groups pending results of the May 24 special elections in Tubaran, Lanao del Sur after a reported failure of elections. — Giselle Ombay/RSJ, GMA News
