UST grad tops May 2022 CPA licensure exam

A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas was the top scorer among 990 successful takers of the May 2022 Certified Public Accountant licensure examination.

According to the Professional Regulation Commission in results released on Wednesday, Jhoone Cyrelle Dela Cruz Nacario of UST scored 88.83% to best a field of 4,442 test takers.

Tied for second place are Darleen May Baria Alcantara of San Beda University and Yanna Jillianne Bariarmente Cruz of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines-Sta. Mesa, who both scored 88.17%.

In third pace is another UST grad, Charlene Mar Noche Perez, with a score of 88%. In fourth place is John Daniel Madriaga Sarmiento of De La Salle University-Manila with a score of 87.67%, while tied for fifth place, both with a score of 87.33%, are Nur-Hafeiza Jannah Imam Abinal of Mindanao State University-Marawi City and Lester Antoni Gibo De Guzman of Divine Word College of Calapan.

Go here for the complete list of passers in the May 2022 CPA licensure examination. Note that the letter Ñ is ordered after Z, so a person with the surname Tañola, for example, is listed after a person with the surname Tayaotao.

The examination was administered by the Board of Accountancy in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga. — BM, GMA News
