President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will probably sign into law the bills on SIM registration and postponement of the 2022 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections, according to Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on Tuesday.

In an interview with reporters, Bersamin was asked if the proposed SIM Registration Act would be signed by the President.

"Very distinct ang possibility," he responded. "Wala pa kaming pinag-aaralan na veto dito."

Asked about the bill postponing the barangay and SK polls, Bersamin said "most likely, very probable."

"Alam ninyo kasi mga ganyang signing, you must presume the good faith of the two Houses of legislature and when they submit to the President for his signature any piece of legislation na napagdaanan na nila, the probability is high that the President will agree with them. Very seldom naman na veto eh," he added.

The leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives have officially transmitted to Malacanang the enrolled copies of the bills.
