DOH logs 1,071 new COVID-19 cases; active tally rises to 19,940

The Philippines on Tuesday logged 1,071 fresh COVID-19 infections, increasing the total nationwide tally to 4,020,240.

Based on the latest Department of Health (DOH) bulletin, the active cases likewise increased to 19,940 from the 19,821 recorded on Monday.

Total recoveries likewise climbed to 3,935,880 while the death toll rose to 64,420.

The National Capital Region remained the region with the most new infections in the last 14 days with 2,876. Region IV-A followed with 1,736; Region VI with 1,421; Region III with 1,020 and Region VII with 939.

At least 12,400 individuals were tested for COVID-19 on Monday, November 14, while 343 laboratories submitted their results.

The country’s bed occupancy rate remained at low-risk with 24.3% or 6,921 of the total 28,537 hospital beds occupied and 21,616 vacant. — Sundy Locus/BM, GMA Integrated News
