Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits off the coast of Davao Oriental

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake shook Davao Oriental early Saturday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) reported.

PHIVOLCS earlier reported that the earthquake measured 5.1 magnitude.

The earthquake, which occurred at 4:08 a.m. at a depth of one kilometer, was tectonic in origin. The epicenter was located southeast of Tarragona, Davao Oriental.
