Typhoon Odette caused damage in parts of Visayas and Mindanao, among them Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Southern Leyte, and Cebu City.

In Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, a farm was badly hit by Odette's strong winds. Infrastructure were damaged and trees were uprooted, according to a report on GMA News' Unang Balita on Monday.

Volunteers and residents joined hands in clearing the area.

Meanwhile in Manjuyod, Negros Oriental, a ship and a tugboat ran aground as their anchors were no match to the huge waves at the height of Odette's onslaught.

Thirteen mariners were safe, the Philippine Coast Guard said.

No oil spill was also reported, the PCG said.

The death toll due to Odette in Negros Oriental reached 22.

The city's power supply has not yet been restored.

According to the local government unit, one died and four were injured in Maasin City due to Odette.

Nineteen barangays were reported isolated on Sunday.

Aside from food and drinking water, Maasin City also needs manpower and heavy equipment to help clear the roads, as well as temporary storage for relief goods since their gymnasium was also damaged by the typhoon.

The relief goods prepositioned at the gym were drenched by rain.

Cebu City

Meanwhile, Cebu City had to deal with infrastructure damage and utility problems, according to a separate report on Unang Balita.

Many power posts and trees were also down.

Long lines formed at water refilling stations and gas stations, where loading up is being done manually amid the power supply interruption.

Earlier, the city government declared a state of calamity and emergency due to the impact of the typhoon.

The local government also asked residents to help with the clearing operations in the city.

Odette exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Saturday, according to State weather bureau PAGASA. —with a report from Joviland Rita/KG, GMA News
