MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) has deployed additional engineers and linemen to speed up power restoration in areas battered by Typhoon Odette.

MORE Power president Roel Castro said at least 20 personnel joined Task Force Kapatid of the Department of Energy (DOE), National Electrification Administration (NEA) and Philippine Rural Electric Cooperatives Association, Inc. (PHILRECA) to help in restoration works in Visayas communities over the weekend.

The personnel were composed of engineers, linemen and customer care staff from the energy firm.

Castro said the personnel were equipped with necessary tools and prepared to stay in the affected communities during the holiday season.

“This is indeed the season for helping and spreading the love of Christ and MORE Power is glad and very much honored to be a part of this worthy endeavor since the power system of Iloilo City was completely restored last Saturday,” he said in a statement.
