Hogs culled in General Santos to prevent spread of ASF

By GMA News

Several hogs in Barangay Baluan, General Santos City were ordered culled by the city government due African swine fever (ASF) contamination.

According to a “24 Oras” report on Wednesday, three hogs tested positive for ASF after a random blood testing conducted by the General Santos Veterinary Office.

To mitigate the effects of ASF, hogs within the 500-meters radius zone of the barangay will be slaughtered.
