P3.4-M shabu detected by PCG working dog in Zamboanga City

A total of P3.4 million worth of shabu has been uncovered by a Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) working dog in a cargo area in Zamboanga City.

Based on the report, PCG working dog “Bunny” detected 500 grams of shabu with an estimated market value of P3.4 million in a cargo area of an airline company on August 8, Monday.

The PCG said the contraband was shipped by a certain Farhana Maddih from Basilan and was supposed to be received by a certain Dayana Ismael from Quezon City.

According to the Coast Guard, the package was turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region IX for further investigation and proper disposition.

The Philippine National Police (PNP) also assisted the PCG K9 Field Operating Unit Southwestern Mindanao in the conduct of the operation.—Richa Noriega/AOL, GMA News
