National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents rescued 21 women from a Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya videoke bar that was allegedly used for sex trafficking activities.

In a statement, the NBI said that Bayombong District Office (NBI-BAYDO) agents arrested two suspects, identified as Evangelina Torres Escalante and Analyn Estabillo Torres, during the operation.

The operation stemmed from allegations that the videoke bar was engaged in prostitution. Women, supposed guest relations officers (GROs), were offered to customers for P1,500 to P3,000.

After investigating the matter, authorities launched an entrapment operation last August 8.
