Oil price rollback, posible sa susunod na linggo

May bahagyang ginhawa na maaasahan ang mga motorista sa susunod na linggo sa posibleng bawas-presyo sa mga produktong petrolyo.

Batay sa mga pagtaya sa kalakalan ng Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) at average na palitan ng piso kontra sa dolyar sa nakalipas na apat na araw, sinabi ng isang oil industry source na maaaring bumaba ng P3.50 hanggang P4.00 kada litro ang presyo ng diesel.

Samantalang P0.25 hanggang P0.75 kada litro ang maaaring matapyas sa presyo ng gasolina.

Pero posible pang magbago ito depende sa resulta ng kalakalan sa ikalimang araw.

“Prices declined this week as threatened US sanctions fell short of the market’s expectations and viewed the economic pressure as a lower-risk path for physical supply than a military escalation, reducing the oil market’s anxiety and easing immediate supply concerns,” ayon sa industry source.

“Prices are further weighed down by signals of a potential return to mediation to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz after Iran said it had resumed talks with Oman, although the physical supply picture reflects a still-constrained market and supply disruption risks remain,” dagdag nito.

Inaanunsyo ng mga kompanya ng langis tuwing Lunes ang price adjustments, at ipatutupad sa susunod na araw ng Martes.

Nitong nakaraang Martes, August 25, tumaas ng P1.08 per liter ang presyo ng gasolina, P2.31 per liter sa diesel, at P0.95 per liter sa kerosene.— FRJ, GMA News
