Most Philippine business leaders remain confident about the next 12 months but stay alert to emerging risks such as regulatory uncertainty, climate change, and geopolitical conflict, according to results of the 2026 Philippine CEO Survey.

The survey results—completed by 176 CEOs across industries—indicated that 83% of respondents are confident about prospects for the next 12 months, unchanged from the 83% recorded in the 2025 survey.

Meanwhile, 81% are confident about revenue growth during the same period. Some 91% said they are confident about revenue growth in the next three years.

In terms of economic growth, 67% said they expect economic growth to reach between 3.0% and 4.5% this year, while 9% project growth between 4.6% and 6.0%.

“The survey findings and our conversations with business leaders reveal a shared confidence in the country’s long-term potential, even as they navigate challenges within their industries, the broader landscape, and the public sector,” Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines chairman and senior partner Roderick Danao said in an emailed statement.

“The opportunity now is to convert this confidence into action through innovation, collaboration, and initiatives that promote sustainable growth and national progress,” he added.

The survey—conducted by Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines in collaboration with the Management Association of the Philippines (MAP)—also showed that 93% said they remain alert to regulatory uncertainty and climate change, and 92% to geopolitical conflict.

The results also showed that the majority, or 92%, consider innovation a critical part of their business strategy, as eight in ten chief executive officers said they have incorporated artificial intelligence into their business strategies.

“Despite the challenges they face, Philippine CEOs are demonstrating a strong commitment to strategic transformation, reimagining how their organizations can grow, remain relevant, and create long-term value,” Pocholo Domondon, assurance partner at Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines, said. — BM, GMA News
