Donita Nose, Wacky Kiray say Vice Ganda set high standard for comedy bar performers

Donita Nose and Wacky Kiray have nothing but high praises for their comedy bar senior, Vice Ganda.

On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" on Thursday, the comedians said Vice set very high standards for her fellow comedians.

"She's like a superstar to us," Donita said in Filipino. "You look up to her because she is so good."

Donita said that Vice avidly studies before she does anything.

"She's fast, she thinks, she's on timing. It's her thing. That's why she is so great," Donita said.

Wacky said that back during Vice's Punchline days, she would arrive hours ahead of her call time to get ready and also listen to previous jokes and current events.

"She does that so when she gets onstage, her flow is smooth and she already knows what she would doing, what [material] will be fed to her. Everything's ready," Wacky said.

"And Vice said if you're onstage, you need to look expensive," the comedian added.

Vice Ganda is the main host of long-running afternoon program "It's Showtime," which airs on GMA Network Mondays to Saturdays at 12 p.m.

Meanwhile, Donita Nose and Wacky Kiray are among the hosts of Kapuso variety show "TiktoClock," which airs weekdays at 11 a.m. after Kapuso Movie Festival. —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA News
