Anne Hathaway haunts Dakota Johnson in official teaser for 'Verity'

Anne Hathaway and Dakota Johnson are in for an eerie psychological thriller, as seen in the first official teaser for “Verity,” the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel of the same name.

In the teaser, Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota) becomes entangled with Verity Crawford’s (Anne) husband, Jeremy Crawford (Josh Hartnett). As their relationship unfolds, Lowen appears to be haunted by Verity and by the chilling words in her unfinished manuscript.

The film is set for a theatrical release in October. However, its Philippine release date is yet to be announced.

Released in 2018, the novel “Verity” follows the story of a struggling writer, Lowen, who accepted a job offer from Jeremy, the husband of bestselling author Verity, to finish the remaining books of a successful series.

In August 2024, Colleen’s movie adaptation of “It Ends With Us” aired in Philippine cinemas. It starred Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
