Several former and current Ateneo de Manila University players appeared before authorities as the probes into the deaths of student-athletes Rene Baterbonia and Divine Adili continued.

Geo Chiu, Mike Nieto, Kymani Ladi, and Dom Escobar were among the former Blue Eagles who arrived at the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) in Camp Crame, Quezon City.

Meanwhile, current team member EJ Kapihe appeared before the National Bureau Investigation (NBI) in relation to the investigation on the deaths and the team building activities under now-resigned head coach Tab Baldwin.

Chiu played for Ateneo played for the team in UAAP Seasons 82 and 85 while Nieto was part of Ateneo's team from Seasons 80 to 82. Ladi and Escobar were Ateneo's one-and-done players last year in Season 88.

Baterbonia, 18, and Adili, 21, died in a drowning tragedy during the team's training camp in Aurora — a recurring off-season activity that the Blue Eagles have been undergoing since Baldwin took over late in 2015.

CIDG earlier said that it is looking at the possibility of homicide or violation of the anti-hazing law with Baldwin and some members of Ateneo's top management being served with a subpoena but were a no-show on Monday.

CIDG is also set to issue a subpoena to Ateneo president Fr. Robert "Bobby" Yap and officials of Smart Communications.
